Aromatherapy for Palliative Care and Bereavement
Discover the gentle power of essential oils to bring comfort, dignity, and peace through life’s final transitions. This course explores the holistic role of aromatherapy in palliative care and bereavement, blending science, compassion, and presence to support both the patient and the caregiver.
Palliative and End of Life care is so much more...
Everyone's experiences are their own. It is about bearing witness, being present, honouring uniqueness, and bridging the seen and unseen. Aromatherapy offers a language of scent and touch that can speak where words falter. In the Aromatherapy for Palliative Care and Bereavement course, we weave aromatherapy with deeply human care because every person’s final chapter deserves compassion, dignity, and gentle support.

Margo Fletcher is a Registered Aromatherapist and long-standing practicing member of the Canadian Association of Aromatherapy (CAOA). She has been providing aromatherapy support both through her private practice and also as a Hospice volunteer for the past 20 years.
Her knowledge of the sense of smell and how it’s designed to keep us safe in the world, combined with her deep understanding of the effects of grief and loss as a Hospice volunteer, led her to create the A Scented Space bereavement support program.
Margo is dedicated to helping and empowering others through their grief and loss by sharing with them the all-encompassing support their sense of smell brings to their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. She encourages others to deepen their awareness and connection to the natural world around them, drawing their attention to their own innate abilities, to find comfort, ease and solace amongst the scents they notice in these surroundings.
